Meeke triumphs again!

Peugeot UK driver Kris Meeke delivered a string of fastest stage times on the closing day of the Sata Rallye Acores, round four of the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge, to take victory and the overall championship points lead.

Over the course of seven stages, the 29-year-old Ulsterman, who took the lead on SS2 yesterday morning, resisted a strong performance from Czech ace Jan Kopecky in his Skoda Fabia while remaining largely untroubled by his championship rivals. more...

Meeke secures first IRC victory - Curitiba Rally in Brazil

Peugeot UK driver Kris Meeke (pictured on the Curitiba circuit) has won the all-gravel Curitiba Rally in Brazil, round two of the IRC series. The Irishman claimed all seven stages on the opening day of the rally and then controlled his advantage on the second day to end up with a 26.2 second margin over Peugeot Belgium’s Nicolas Vouilloz, who finished second. more...

Monte Carlo Rally summary

The Monte Carlo Rally, watched by seven million television viewers on Eurosport, was won by Sebastien Ogier (pictured), driving for the BFGoodrich Drivers’ Team in a Peugeot 207 S2000 run by Kronos Racing.

Ogier took the lead after the Skoda of Juho Hanninen retired on the first stage of the final leg. Hanninen’s Fabia S2000 had led from the opening morning all the way until the last stage of Thursday, when the Finn picked up a puncture five kilometres into the stage. more...
