Burcu Çetinkaya, the first female driver to score points in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, will get back behind the wheel of a rally car when she contests the Qatar International Rally from January 27-28.
The Istanbul ace, who claimed her maiden IRC points in Scotland in 2010 driving a Peugeot 207 Super 2000, will link up with regular co-driver Çiçek Güney to pilot a Tok Sport-prepared Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X on the Middle East championship event.
Çetinkaya, who finished fifth on her FIA MERC debut last December, tackled two IRC events in 2011 when she revealed plans to tackle more rounds of the series this season.
