I had just turned 16, and was leaving Tim Hortons in Merritt after finishing my shift. The parking lot overlooks Canadian tire, and there just happened to be Parc Expose going on, so I just had to go and take a look. After having a quick wonder around and getting a spectator guide, I thought, wow this is cool. I went and checked out the service later that evening, then went home and started to search the internet.
5 months later I attended a rally-x on ice, and managed to meet up with Norm LeBlanc. He volunteered to put me in the passenger seat of his car as he whipped around the lake, scaring the life out of me, but making me a rally fan for like. In under 2 minutes, I found a new hobby, obsession, and pass time.
Later that month Thunderbird rally was in Merritt, and I met up with Team Kamloops, and they showed me the ropes of TSD, and briefly explained the goings on. I knew I had to do it, and when 4 months later the option of entering a novice rally came about I snapped it up. Since then I have pretty much revolved my life around rally, and now barely 3 short years later, I have competed in every event of the BC TSD championship, been to every stage race in the province for 3 years running, organized a novice rally, and a regional TSD rally, and volunteered in nearly every position at a stage event possible ranging from road closure, to spectator Marshall, to stage commander.
My goals in rally-
-One day organize a Stage Event
-Own my own Stage Car
-Compete in Pacific TSD Championship
-Attend all the Alberta Stage events
-Attend all CARS stage events
-Continue organizing TSD events
-Become a Co-driver for a stage team
-Be part of the regional/ provincial governing body of rally
-Have fun, get dirty, enjoy every moment.

That's a tough one, really just keep at it. Try and find a local club that might be involved in Navigational or TSD events. They normally have such a wealth of knowledge that will help you out. I'm not familiar with the events if any occur in Singapore. But keep at it, volunteering is one of the best ways to make the connections you need to move into higher levels of rally. Start at the bottom, work hard, make friends and you will move on up.
I have met some of the most amazing people I know through rally, and it all started with sticking my foot out, and taking that first step.

I just read your blog and you're so lucky! Do you have any advice on how i can get started too?
I am residing in Singapore and have been searching the internet for rallies here but there's not much useful info.
Hope u can lead me to the right direction cos i love the sport. I've tried off-road riding and i love it too but i want to try driving this time round.
Thanks!
It all makes sense!
