The MaxAttack! Team NorthWest is gearing up for the Lake Superior Performance Rally this October 15-16 in Houghton, Michigan with a three-car assault on the third and final round of the 2010 MaxAttack! 2WD Championship. These three crews are determined to keep MaxAttack! honors in the West for another season.

We previously posted two exclusive interviews with the NW Team drivers to learn more about them as competitors and about their cars. In this concluding segment, we get to know the personalities behind the wheel.

Here’s WorldRallySport.com’s third Q&A with Cody Crane, Dave Henderson, and Brian Gottlieb.

WRS: Describe yourself in ten words or less.

Cody Crane (CC): I am quiet ,shy, crazy, determined, pedal to the floor.
Dave Henderson (DH): Silent but deadly, but pretty much a spaz, kinda funny. . .
Brian Gottlieb (BG): Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

WRS: What else do you do besides rallying?

CC: Photography, draw, paint.
DH: Sell shoes for a living, but I surf, Snowboard, Windsurf, ride moto and mountain bike for fun.
BG: I'm primarily a computer geek, or at least I was before rallying made me a gear-head. I'm working on some iPhone apps, but not working too hard. I enjoy making videos and recently started making 3D videos using a pair of inexpensive Flip cameras. 3D rally in-car video is rad.

WRS: What does your family think about the sport?

CC: They are supportive of rally.
DH: My wife thinks it is too expensive, and she is right, my kids think it is the best ever, and want to race go-karts SOON.
BG: My mom wishes I would do something “safer”, but mostly they like seeing me doing something that I enjoy so much.

WRS: What’s the closest you’ve ever come to death?

CC: Choked on cheesy pizza once.
DH: Ski racing, a couple times…good crashes.
BG: Probably at Idaho Rally this year, when my rally car burned up. Once the flames caught, the car went up really fast. I hate to think what could have happened if we had hesitated.

WRS: What kind of music do you like? Who are your favorite artists/bands?

CC: Rock, punk, rockabilly, country. I like the Necromantics, Mad Sin, Stray Cats, Mindless Self-Indulgents, Jonny Cash, Mudvain, Tool, She want revenge to name a few.
DH: Punk, the golden years: Minor Threat, 7 seconds, Dead Kennedys, Agent Orange, DOA,
Supersuckers.
BG: Usually I listen to my iPod on random, with everything from hip-hop, to Sublime, to Neil Diamond. I like dark electronic music, lately a lot of dubstep. Bassnectar is the shiznit.

WRS: What is your greatest strength?

CC: I don’t give up easy.
DH: Being a good guy.
BG: Perseverance.

WRS: What about your biggest weakness?

CC: I am too shy.
DH: Procrastination.
BG: Not knowing when to quit.

WRS: If you weren’t rallying, what would you be doing?

CC: I would be drifting.
DH: Racing motocross still
BG: I suck at hypotheticals. Maybe run for Senate? Or be a doctor. Or world peace.

WRS: What’s your favorite curse word?

CC: F***.
DH: F***, i.e F*** YEAH, F*** NO, F*** YOU, F*****’ this or that.
BG: F*** F****** F*** F***.

WRS: Any hidden talents?

CC: I’m a creative problem solver.
DH: Nope.
BG: Dog training.
