White Oak Rally Team drives the National Guard car #54 to tie for third at Rally Colorado!! We are stoked to podium for the first time and post back to back top 4 finishes.

Sunday was an eventful day with wet weather moving in to turn the colorado roads into a slick mess. We were able to stay clean with our driving and avoided getting stung by the road conditions. Mark came into the last service saying that the front end seemed a little loose. After swapping both control arms and a new set of tires at the muddy wet service we were ready for the clearing that came just in time for the last two stages. Mark left service planning to maintain our fifth position. Conley was in front of us for the whole race and based on our conservative game plan we didn't see trying to take back 35 seconds as a reasonable goal given the conditions.

We suspected Block would DNF with engine faliure, and although we were bummed that he went out we were fired up to gain another step up in position. So when the RA results computer had us in third we were a little suprised and stood around nervously waiting for Conley's results to post...and then in an unbelievable and rare outcome the board showed a TIE! We had made up the 35 seconds down to the hundredth of a second!! over 90+ minutes of racing and tied to the hundreth... just insane!! But Hey, podium baby and third feels good no matter how you slice it, and to share it with a team that had such a great attitude all day was a pleasure.
