Rally America and United States Rally Championship

Hi, I'm a new member and I am working hard to get into the world of Rally. But aside from my introduction (you can check my profile for that) I do have a simple question:

What is the difference between RA and USRC?

They are both great independent championships that offer rally to the USA. Each has its core competency and together they offer their audience a great way to enjoy the sport in different locations across the country. Both have done great things for Rally in the US over the years. USRC has rally moto entries which makes it unique to Rally America (RA). RA has built a following with its involvement in the X Games in LA and the big names like Travis Pastrana, Ken Block et al. Depending where your from could determine which rallies you should take a peak at as I am sure there is one not to far from home.

Joey, your best bet to get in will be to get involved with ORG (if you aren't already). ORG is hosting a 'Rally Day' tomorrow, April 10 in Portland. Here's more info:

Joey... guessing that's your name thanks to Fransisco. Are you in the PNW? I couldn't find anything with a location for you. If you are, we have Olympus Rally (http://www.olympusrally.com/) coming up next weekend in Ocean Shores, Washington. Olympus Rally was a former WRC round back in the day. After that, the next event in Oregon Trail Rally (http://www.oregontrailrally.com) If you are brand new to the sport, I highly suggest coming to an event and signing up as a volunteer. You learn a TON! have so much fun, and usually go home with free swag. Best way to get in and meet people (teams)

Also, for another lil thing, if you're interested, and again in this particular area. ORG (oregon rally group) is will be holding a rallycross this weekend in Hillsboro Oregon. It's a ton of fun to take a beater, supped up, or a built rally car out and have some crazy fun! Think autocross, but in the dirt and 1,000,000 x more fun!

Yes, my name is Joey. I won't be attending Olympus but next month I do plan on going up to Portland for the Oregon Trail Rally. Again, Rallycross I have read about and wish I could attend that event, but work got in the way.
