Wow. that's all I have to say.... wow.
I have to say this is going to be a huge blow to the WRC. It is quite a shame to see Subaru and Suzuki just cut their program, not just trim it back to one competitor vehicle. Guess I will have to stock up on my Subaru WRC memorabilia, while the site is still operational.

A sad, heartbroken, girl.

I feel your sadness Nicki, I think it comes as a shock to most of us, even if perhaps we saw the writing on the wall. I am happy to hear they will continue to push and support the sport on a nationalized and localized level.

Its tough times for corporations right now, especially automotive corporations. With all the push going on in Washington to get federal financing to US automakers, the effects spill over onto the global scene. Rally certainly isn't the only automotive sport being hit hard right now, F1 is probably far worse off.

Whats really saddening is this is likely only the beginning. There will likely be a massive shakeout before things start to take a turn for the better. Thats not me fear mongering its just a reality of the industry. Something has got to give. Change is required from the top down.

wow yes what a shocker .. and was pleased to see they are going to continue to support the other series ..

and this may be a good thing .. WRC is silly expensive . and this may be the time to put in some rules to cut cost .. I am sure every manufacturer would like to be involved if it was not so expensive .. ..

Will be interesting to see what develops .. will not be much of an event for the few that are left .
