Creating an Event on World Rally Sport

Anyone can create an event! Its a free and simple way of getting some much needed exposure for your upcoming events. No matter how small or how big your event may be it is beneficial for you to create an event page on worldrallysport.com.

Creating an Event

Date: it starts by asking you to provide a time span for the event so it can be properly indexed into the calendar. Simply select the start and end date and hours appropriately. If it’s an all day event simply check the all day box.

Banner Image: You can upload a banner image for your event. For best results the image should be 590x110 pixels. The selected image will be auto-resized otherwise and may not look as you had envisioned.

Title: The event requires a title. Keep it as short but as descriptive as possible.

Region/Type: You may select a region of the world as well as the type of event being hosted.

• If the event type is not listed you may type in an alternative type in the other field.
Event Details: You can provide several fields of information for you event. If a field does not apply to your event, simply leave it blank. Blank fields will not be published.

Body: Your event does require a body. This is where you give a brief write up about the event.
• Web page addresses and e-mail addresses turn into links automatically.
• Allowed HTML tags: <a> <em> <strong> <cite> <code> <ul> <ol> <li> <dl> <dt> <dd>
• Lines and paragraphs break automatically.

Public check box: All events are by default published publically.

Sponsor Banner: You can upload a event sponsor image to promote your event sponsors. Again the image should be a banner sized at 590x100 pixels to get the best results.

Video: You can also embed an event video from your favorite video hosting service. Several services are supported. YouTube is by default the most common.
• You can give your video a title and caption as well.

Images: You can also upload images directly to your event page to show off media from events.
User Relationships Content Access: you have some basic control over who can see your event. If you want only your friends to be able to view the event, click the view checkbox. The same applies to the fan options.

Both the Update and Delete categories have little practicality for events and will be removed in later versions. However in the unlikely case you want your friends to be able to modify and or delete your event click the appropriate boxes and that is what it will do.

Attachments: you can attach files to your event page, such as sign-up documents, electronic brochures etc. (please label the file names appropriately so people know what each file is).
