Doug Gore in his lancer evo x gp A was actually putting down competitive times compared to the wrc cars,,a couple of them have taken note and are going all out to keep him behind.......
Matthew Gore retired from day one with destroyed front suspension that only arived from japan just before the rally,,,he will put on the suspension he had before, and try to start day 2......

A moderate turnout decended on the National Stadium to witness the final showdown of Rally Jamaica 2009. Two timed special stages were ran and a third to show appreciation to spectators, supporters and sponsors.
The Barbados contingent didn’t disappoint, as their elderly pair of Harold Morley/Geoffrey Goddard wowed the crowds with a breathtaking display of car control in their Subaru WRX. The anti-lag of the Subaru campaigned by James Betts/Jeremy Gonsalves could be heard from a mile away and Steven Oliviere/David Jackson of St. Vincent exhibited a few donuts to get the crowd anticipatory.
However, the pair of John Powell/Michael March in their S12 Subaru WRC went a few steps further leaving the spectators yearning for more.
Powell/March’s challenge were met by defending champions Jeffrey Panton/Michael Fennell Jr. with thunderous uproar from the crowd with multiple donuts, burnouts with superior handling.
However, the day belonged to the usually controlled Gary Gregg with co-driver Hugh Hutchinson who claimed overall honors at the end of the day. However, while Gary and Hugh’s win is preliminary, not much is expected to change with the top 3 as Gregg is followed by Panton/Fennell Jr then Powell/March.
See below for preliminary top 3 standings after SS24:
