I never thought I'd say it, but I'm throwing my hat in with my NDP MP this year, not that I am overly fond of Jack Layton, he's a bit too emotional for my taste.

So hows this election ramping up for you?

Worst part is that you may love your local MP but hate the party... but I'll definately be going Conservative... Jay Hill (our local MP) does well for this area :)

That... and I haven't really heard about the competition cause they don't have their S*** together LOL :D

I've already voted. Voted Liberal, we've got an MP with some shred of decency and honesty.

I was thinking very nationally when I chose my vote path this election, not locally. If I had been thinking locally I would have voted for our local NDP MP, hes a great guy.

However, Layton isn't exactly what I'd call a beacon of strength.

I've never seen Layton make a sound argument. Which leads me to believe he wouldn't have the first idea about governing.

Dion has been doing really well the past week. Composed, articulate, with a good sense of direction for the future. I also really like our MP. Turner was a conservative MP the last time around, and got kicked out for being too vocal. I have no respect for the Conservative party, and as long as it's dominated by the old Alliance party I'll never support them again.

Dion needs to rethink his going green ideas in lieu of the upcoming recession.

The problem with that is that it really is a good idea. We tax things we want to get out of society. It forces innovation in alternative fuel sources, since you a) avoid heavier taxes, and b) get tax breaks for investing in those technologies.

It's sound economics. I'm just not sure we can afford to lose money from our oil exports with this rough patch coming up. The saving grace for a possible green shift, is that we really do have a strong economic foundation right now. Which leads me to believe that while the start of the plan might be rough, we'd be able to pull out just as quickly had we not made the shift.

NDP will never get my vote, federal or provincial. The federal Liberals got my vote back in the early 90's but their record from that whole decade showed me that they don't represent any of the issues that are important to me.

In any event, no matter what party one supports, all I wish is for people to make an informed choice when they vote. I have come across some people who have said "tell me who to vote for". Nothing infuriates me more than people who are willing to be told who to vote for! Find out what each party stands for, find out which party best represents your interests, and don't let anyone sway your vote!

Passionate voter Otsoa is Passionate!

Conservative minority...I likes it :) I wonder how long till the wolves come out of the woodwork for Dion. Expect a Liberal leadership convention soon.
