Racing and the Economy

So you tell me. Is the economic downturn going to affect your ability to race, volunteer at a race, or simply even show up to enjoy the race?

Yes/No/Maybe so?

For me its definitely a yes, i'm in the poor house half the time and now its only gotten worse. I could never afford to take any time off thats for sure...

maybe- it means I won't drive as far for rallies, and will only go on weekends. However I am quite willing to cut other things out of my life so thatI can go rallying. It might mean that I won't compete either, just go and volunteer.

It certainly will take its toll on privateers in the sport. Its costly as is, but I will agree with Nicki and say I'm willing to forfeit some other luxuries to keep myself in the rally car :p
