Pacific Forest Rally is the second to last stop on the Canadian Rally Championship Calendar. It roams the amazing back country of beautiful British Columbia. The event brings some out some of the best in North America and is based in Merritt B.C.
If your looking for a West coast rally, Pacific Forest Rally is one of the best in North America. This Reccee event will challenge drivers with terrain, weather, elevation and some pretty tricky roads.
PFR 2008 will be using Nationally Known roads, such as:
Princeton Cutoff- a tight twisty back road up the side of the mountain, that ends with a very dangerous exposure on the co-drivers side, that is sure to frighten any team.
Helmer- This 22km long logging road, is a fast downhill section that can make or break the rally for most competitors. Although logging trucks can make it down this road, some of those corners come up a little quicker and tighter then expected at such high speeds. Each year Helmer claims its fair share of rally cars.
Comstock- This short little road has its fair share of technical corners, and hidden exposures. This year the road will be run uphill, instead of downhill, making it a totally new challenge for the veteran drivers. A tight acute Right downhill, always makes for some amazing pictures.
This is an awesome event, and all the spectator locations are well marked and easy to make it to. VIP packages are well worth the money, and come in many various price ranges.
