Description

The major annual motorsport event in mid-Wales has, since its inception in 1958, always carried the name of its major sponsor in its title; beginning with local Wolverhampton evening newspaper, the 'Express & Star' in 1958, with subsequent sponsors including Goodyear Tyres and Castrol. Today, the event is sponsored by Bulldog Security Products Ltd. The rally has enjoyed a colourful history including notable occasions such as its transition from a road rally to being one of the first UK events to feature forestry stages in 1966.
