Duplessis Remains Unchallenged at Sno*Drift
Fri, 01/27/2012 - 21:39 — RallyNews2010 Amerian 2WD champion Christopher Duplessis and his co-driver Karl Atkinson have a comfortable lead in the 2WD category at the Sno*Drift Rally based in Atlanta, Michigan.
Duplessis from Maine and Atkinson from the UK haven't been challenged all day in their specially built 2011 Ford Fiesta R2, a package of parts designed for high performance rallying.
They've skillfully managed the treacherous stage roads to sit in tenth overall after the first 12 special stages of the event.

Hanson Overcomes Engine Woes to Lead SP
Fri, 01/27/2012 - 21:03 — RallyNewsTravis Hanson and his father/co-driver Terry have taken a commanding lead of the Super Production (SP) class after Day One of the Sno*Drift Rally.
Burdened with engine troubles at the start of the event, the Hansons managed to build a gap of more than seven minutes over the next fastest SP crew. They're in fourth overall. It's unlikely Hanson will get a repeat of his 2011 victory here, but with 12 stages remaining on Saturday, inheriting an overall podium spot is not a far-fetched idea. more...
