Travis Hanson Happy with Flawless Season

We may one day look back on the 2011 New England Forest Rally and smile because we were there to see the history made by Travis Hanson and his father/co-driver Terry Hanson. NEFR closes maybe the perfect rally season for a privateer/sportsman team.

The Hansons started the season seven months ago with an outright win at the Sno*Drift Rally. They battled most of the year at the top of the leader board in points.

They won the Super Production title with one event to go in the season and they have a mathematical chance to win the National Championship outright if Jupiter aligns with Mars and peace guides the planets... etc.

"This season has been flawless from the first event with an outright win, to the SP championship, and now holding on to enough points to still be fighting for a podium spot on the overall podium. We are excited going into NEFR with no stress, our goal is to have fun, entertain our fans and to score more points for our bid for the season," said Hanson.

Fun and entertainment aren’t two of the key words for a couple other Super Production teams, however. For Ramana Lagemann and Lauchlin O’Sullivan NEFR is an all business weekend. Lagemann is just one point up on O’Sullivan in the SP standings. Lagemann has a two event win streak (OTR and STPR) in the category and he’s hoping to continue that success at NEFR to stay in second behind Hanson in the final points standings. O’Sullivan, obviously has a different plan in mind. If both fall off the road, Andrew Wickline is ready to step into the spotlight. Apparently the Open Class won’t be the only rumble in the New England woods this weekend.
