New England Forest Rally 2012: Weather & Road Conditions

The format of the New England Forest Rally (NEFR) based in Newry, Maine at the Sunday River Ski Resort has undergone some significant changes from previous years including the addition of new stages to the schedule.

The 2012 edition of NEFR is serving as the penultimate round of the American championship instead of holding its place on the calendar as the season's closing event as it had in 2010 and 2011. more...

Road Position Could Prove Advantageous for L'Estage

Antoine L'Estage has elected to run first on the road Friday as he seeks his third consecutive New England Forest Rally win.

The defending Canadian champion's decision to sweep the loose gravel off of the opening day stages could play to his favor with dry, dusty conditions expected to cause visibility issues for crews behind him in road position.

L'Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard are a favorite to win in Maine following their victory at STPR in Pennsylvania last month and more recently at Quebec's Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs. more...
