Fiesta S2000s Secure Two S-WRC Podium Spots

This weekend’s Acropolis Rally of Greece saw two Ford Fiesta S2000 crews on the podium in the Super 2000 World Rally Championship (S-WRC) with Bernardo Sousa finishing second and Frigyes Turán securing third.

The Citroën Total World Rally Team crew of Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia today won the Acropolis Rally of Greece, the seventh round of the FIA World Rally Championship. The French crew finished 10.5 seconds ahead of team-mates Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, with the Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team pairing of Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen third. more...

Wellsboro, PA, USA -- Subaru Rally Team USA’s David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew win the 2011 Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR) by a narrow margin of 1.3 seconds over rivals Antoine L’Estage and Nathalie Richard. Higgins had a 37 second deficit halfway through day two after losing intercom at the start of Stage 8 and puncturing a tire on Stage 9, but came back to lead the rally by 2.5 seconds going into the final stage. Calgary, AB, Canada -- Quebec driver Antoine L’Estage (of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC) and his co-driver Nathalie Richard (of Halifax, NS) won this past weekend’s Rocky Mountain Rally, the second round of the 2011 Canadian Rally Championship amidst extreme weather conditions in the Kananaskis region of Alberta. Rally Argentina was marked by several twists and finally Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena came out on top for the sixth time on the bounce! The seven-time world champions took the lead in the last stage after having made up the one-minute penalty they received on the first day.
