Tanner Foust Tops the GRC Points Race Heading into X Games

Rockstar Energy Drink Driver Tanner Foust had a spectacular weekend in Colorado at the Global RallyCross Championship: Last Chance.

Foust won the first of two races of the weekend, progressing through a series of knock-out elimination heats in the head-to-head SuperRally competition, to face down and beat two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm.

"It was an amazing feeling to beat Grönholm to the finish," said Foust. "I consider him one of the very best drivers in the world and it was almost unbelievable to find myself standing in the middle of the podium." more...

Travis Pastrana is excited to debut his new 2011 WRX STi that he will be racing at this year’s X Games Rallycross competition. This will mark his fifth time competing in the Rally series at X Games. Pastrana has already set two world records in his Subaru WRX STi, attained four Rally America Series Championships (’06-’09) and is looking to win his third Rally Gold this summer at X Games 17 in Los Angeles. Marcus Grönholm Wins GRC 'Last Chance' in Colorado

Two-time World Rally Champion Marcus Grönholm earned a hard-fought rallycross victory Saturday at the Global RallyCross Championship: Last Chance, held at Pikes Peak International Raceway near Colorado Springs.

The legendary Finnish driver put in a consistently strong performance in the Best Buy Ford Fiesta, advancing into the final race with wins in every heat. "I am very happy for the win. Subaru Driver David Higgins Podiums on GRC Debut

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins made an impressive debut in his first RallyCross competition this past weekend with a 2nd Overall finish at 3rd round of the Global Rallycross Championship held at Pikes Peak International Raceway near Colorado Springs. Higgins, a multi-time British and American rally champion had never competed in wheel-to-wheel rallycross before but his strong background in both rally and karting helped him adjust quickly at the wheel of his BFGoodrich Tires-shod 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. more...

Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson set the early pace in Greece before finishing fourth on the Acropolis Rally, round seven of the FIA World Rally Championship. Kimi Räikkönen and Kaj Lindström proved to be increasingly competitive, finally finishing in seventh overall on the event. Stobart's Solberg Returns to WRC with Sterling Performance

Henning Solberg showed a return to form for the M-Sport Stobart Ford World Rally Team with his fifth place finish at the Acropolis Rally of Greece this weekend. Team-mate Matthew Wilson finished one place behind Solberg piloting the team’s other Ford Fiesta RS WRC.

Solberg’s result also marks a continuation in the team’s string of top five finishes this season and successfully marks their seventh consecutive top five result in this year’s FIA World Rally Championship. more...

Attrition Proves Dramatic for Munchi's Ford Driver Villagra

The Munchi’s Ford World Rally Team battled back after a series of knockbacks on the treacherous roads in Greece but were finally forced to retire after suffering engine woes on route to the rally’s penultimate stage.

Due to business commitments, Munchi’s Ford regular co-driver Jorge Perez Companc was unable to attend the hottest round of the WRC so Jose Diaz joined Villagra in the team’s Ford Fiesta RS WRC. more...
